 Written: November 11, 2009:

I’m here today because two tragedies have affected my life profoundly in the last week.  First, my boyfriend broke up with me and second, one of my best friend Patrick died in a freak accident.  I am so grateful to have this place to recollect and reconnect with my self.  I think people usually come here to celebrate but I am here to be sad and I feel safe being sad here.  It is so good to have someplace warm where you can abandon everything, your clothes, your phone, and start it in a locker and all you are left with is your body, a robe, and a set of heys.

After losing two very important people in my life, I think of everyone that I love, and my fear of losing them.  But what matters most I think is that I don’t lose myself.  And I am here to honor that.  Thank you for sharing this with me.

First time here – best spa I have ever been to!!! Celebrating a friend’s birthday, a sister’s success and my own ability to carry on, in face of challenges.  Thankful to have discovered a place of rest and restoration, will make this pledge – once a month, return to this place of women and the Devine.  Blessed be Mary Beth – Santa Rosa, CA and Lamanzanilla del mar, Mexico.

I just located my first journal entry in book #2, dated 6/15/06

Today is my first return since then…. Ironically my life is in the trenches again in many aspects.  Yet this time around I have all the right relationships in addition to a spiritual grounding I have added since that last deep hole I found myself in.  I vow to treat myself to this refuge more often.  It is tranquil and wonderful for the soul.  I cherish my life and loved ones. 

I am happy this beautiful place is here for retreat J
