This is one of my favorite gifts to myself. Every time I leave to come here my husband has a look of longing in his face. Wish there was something like this for men too. I love how clean I feel, inside & out, after being here. When I come alone, my mind unwinds and I get still. I also love sharing the nurturing w/ friends. Thank you.

Congratulations who ever you are!!! A note for the wedding: An older woman gave me this advice before mine. I took it and have shared it with women ever since.
Wedding take on a life of their own make a decision before the big day to step out of the crowd for a few minutes. Take a mental snapshot o fall your loved ones gathered to celebrate you. Take a few breaths –
Otherwise weddings often just seen like a blur later. I was so glad I did this – I remember it so clearly and joyfully.

I came here the first time on September 19, and wrote in this journal about my joy at being alive and my fear of cancer return. Today, I am back at the spa with a friend to celebrate her birthday….. and to revel in being alive. The scar on my neck is ugly, but I love it, because I have another chance. Benign!!
BENIGN!! Along with love, peace, joy, ocean, and daughter, Benign is one of my favorite words. I am filled with hope, and promise, and the sheer joy of having a breath. My beautiful daughter hugged me so tight when I told her the good news, that it hurt…. But I just hugged her back. My husband, parents, friends shed tears for me.
I will take this life that I have and live it fully. I have another chance…. And I will share it.

My birthday is next week but I don’t think I can come in cuz I’m going to be in Atlanta visiting my best friend – she is pregnant with a twin, but they share the same percenta…. The risk of having 1 or 2 unhealthy babies or not surviving is there. I truly admire my best friend, her courage and compassion. I pray that her babies will be healthy and her last trimester will be peaceful. I have had a few crazy week and life seems so stressful sometimes. I came here 2 weeks ago because I was having really bad headache and my muscle all tensed up.
As women, I think I have been trained to give and give some more. It’s hard to take care myself because sometimes it seems selfish to do. My mom is a great example of hardworking women born into an unhappy and bitter one. I hope she can celebrate herself and spoil herself, I hope she will come here with me next week before holiday. She never knows how to help cherish her. We need to cherish our self before others will cherish us. I notice people come here usually have really beautiful skins. I also think its cool people take advantage of the space and time to come here. If they membership is more affordable. I would definitely join and come more often. But the budget is tight now days perhaps when I am richer or become a partner. I better stop writing otherwise I’ll take lots of space.

Another relaxing day at Olympus!! Best way to enjoy the first part of my 32nd birthday. Feel blessed we have such a wonderful venue to relax at….. definitely worth the 3 hour drive!!!!!!

Ran in my first marathon yesterday, and my husband surprised me with a spa gift certificate. Enjoyed a massage and facial – my first also.
Heat in the salt and sand rooms felt so incredibly good on y tired, sore muscles. Can’t say that I’ll run another marathon, but I do want to return to Olympus Spa with my mom the next time she’s in town.

What a wonderful birthday present to give to yourself. As the messenger put it. Celebrating myself. So often we forget to do that as we race through our everyday lives. Needless and distracted. Especially right now. With so many concerns and fears I feel at times I’m being torn apart. I want to be the best caregiver to my mother at a time when she really has no one else and is facing a terrifying illness. But sometimes I don’t feel I have it in me, while at that very moment I also know I must and that because I must, I can.
Today has given me strength……. J
